Review 2014/2015

Review 2014/2015

...The scouting process is exquisitely addressing the specific conditions and individual needs of Volkswagen Plant and Group Logistics ...
— Reinhard de Vries, Head of Plant Logistics Wolfsburg, Volkswagen AG

Call for proposals: Innovative Logistics Solutions for Volkswagen

The Volkswagen Corporation and the Institute for Production Management (IPM) were looking for proposals on solutions for the plant logistics division Wolfsburg as part of the innovation scouting process. The tender process which was free of charge allowed direct access to VW's logistics decision makers to convince them of innovations.

At the end of the selection process ten “nominated suppliers” were invited to present their innovative logistics solutions during the “INNOVATIVE LOGISTICS Solution Day 2015” in Wolfsburg. Many innovations have been implemented since the conference, e.g. the Google-Class solution from UBIMAX for the logistics worker of the future.
